It is currently July 13th. My birthday is/was July 10th. I made a note to myself to do a post talking about it, and only got around to it now. As you can tell, punctuality is not my strong point. Procrastination is.
Moving right along.
My parents were actually out of town for most of my birthday, and my sister was at work, which left me to go and hang out with a few friends at lunch. Which was fun. As fun as eating can be, I suppose.
Anyway, much to the dismay of my sister, most of the actual birthday stuff had to be pushed back to Sunday, though I did receive gifts on Saturday night. I was incredibly happy to receive two videogames, ModNation Racers and Dante's Inferno, two completely different but still both equally awesome games.
Moving onto a topic that doesn't make me seem really materialistic, I'm really not that excited about being a year older. When I was younger, it was always I really big event, and I was always so pumped about it, but now, I dunno, it just seems kinda "been there, done that". Whether this is because I've grown tired of the repetitive birthday situation or just because I'm a cynical teenager has yet to be seen.
Well, that's pretty much all that's been going. It's basically been a quiet summer so far.

So, Here You Are
Welcome to Going Nowhere Slowly! I'm Mitchell, but you'll probably only be seeing my screen name, Trigger, on here. This blog is going to be a bit of a communication tool of sorts, as I'll post anything important that happens in my life on here for you to read. You can feel free to leave comments on the articles, and there's an archive and search box over at the right for finding older pages. Up top, you'll find a Bio tab if you want to learn a little about me, and the Home tab takes you right back here. That's all the important stuff for the moment, but new features may be added in down the road.
Anyway, there really isn't a whole lot going on right now in my life. It's summer, so the pressure of school is off, but the report cards still haven't gotten sent out so I have no idea how I did. For clarification, I just finished grade 9 at Oakridge Secondary School, and I actually think it went pretty well. Anyway, the report cards are supposed to be available for pick-up tomorrow, so I should now soon.
As well, my birthday's this Saturday. I'm turning fifteen this year. That's a decade and a half. I'm substantially less excited about this than I thought I would be, but I think I've sorta moved a bit beyond all of the rampant celebration. Now I'd just be fine with it being an ordinary day, albeit a day with a notable milestone attached to it. But I suppose that's neither here nor there.
Anyway, this is just the first post, and there are many more to come! Keep checking back for more info!
